Empowerment Pathways: Workforce Transition & Independent Living

This 9-week program provides a structured path for youth aged 15-25 in special education to transition into the workforce and independent living. By aligning with Response to Intervention (RTI) tiers and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks, the curriculum ensures that diverse learners receive the correct level of support as they build vocational skills. Weekly modules cover workplace etiquette, job promotion, job collaboration, self-advocacy, resume writing, interview techniques, and financial management. Each section includes specific tiered interventions and PBIS-aligned strategies to address behavioral and academic needs, helping students establish a solid foundation for long-term career success and community integration. The course culminates in a comprehensive, project-based portfolio demonstrating readiness.
